Churchillians of Franklin: Sir Winston Churchill
It has become apparent to us that there are a number of people in this area of Nashville and south to Franklin who have, like us, a great admiration for Sir Winston Churchill. You may be a member of the Churchill Centre, so we think you are clearly someone in this category. We are proposing an informal meeting for anyone who might be interested in sharing their thoughts and interest in Sir Winston Churchill as a statesman, politician, writer, artist, brick layer and so forth.
Both of us have been associated with the Churchill Centre and its predecessor the International Churchill Society for over two decades. We have imagined that you and others would like to meet other “Churchillians” in this area of Tennessee for an informal discussion. We would include some information on the activities of the Churchill Centre, but more especially this will be a chance to share your thoughts on the unique role Sir Winston Churchill played in the shaping of the world as we know it today. Further, this will be an opportunity to review the ongoing plethora of books published about Churchill that have now reached over 750.
Venue: Landmark Booksellers. Proprietor- Joel Tomlin.
Address: 114, East Main Street, Franklin, TN 37064
Date and Time: Thursday March 20th at 6:30 pm.
So, we invite you to come to this gathering and offer some of your thoughts of Sir Winston Churchill. If this event is considered a success we would like to schedule similar opportunities to meet, possibly a dinner with an invited speaker such as a member of the Churchill family or another distinguished and well renowned speaker.
We hope you will seriously consider attending this event. If you would like more information please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone or email.
